Time passes, leaving traces of it’s passage.
Leaving old man winter beckoning at my door. What will I tell him when he comes? What stories will I have to keep him at bay? I can offer up all the excuses in the world, but, it matters not, in the end. No matter what, just like old man winter,
Time, finds a way to creep up on us, and, then,slips right past us. Time will not be kept in a bottle.

Hello all! Again, life intruded with online, and I've been off for several months. Things are going better, Mel is starting to work again, feeling like her life is turning around. Still lots of scary things for her (and mom), but better than it was. Hope is a good thing.

Updates on life in my world.

Just an update on the state of my world these days. Melinda had another surgery yesterday, to remove infection from the rebuilt breast tissue after her mastectomy. We're not out of the woods yet, but she's feeling somewhat better than she did a month ago.
Her roomie got arrested, and their landlord kicked everyone in the house out with less than 2 weeks notice. She was recovering from her last surgery, unable to work and unable to pack. We spend a frantic weekend packing what we could, selling t… Continue

The "universe" just makes no sense to me right now.

Just a quick post, to let everyone know why I haven't been around lately. My daughter Melinda is 25, and is about to undergo a radical mastectomy. Her doctors played the waiting game way too long, and there is no alternative left for her. As a mother, it's almost impossible to justify/explain this series of events, and it's blasting her life into total chaos.
She's too sick to work, the state says she has to take a bus to an office halfway across town and sit most of a day, just to get $100 in f… Continue

Musings in the dark.

Just thought I'd sit and put some words down, while waiting for my caffein buzz to abate and my body to relax enough to fall asleep for the night.
The crickets are "cricking" outside of my window, there's a buck drinking from my birdbath (at the moment he has 8 points, but who knows how many he'll have by rut), and the clouds are clearing so I'll be able to see the waxing moon tonight.
