The moon is waxing and will soon be full, and the stars shine brightly in the chill, darkened skies. It is November and we are becoming immersed in the darkness of the season. The trees wear their colorful leaves as though wearing a crow…
Sadly, I've known (and know) several like this. Its good that you've grown and moved onwards - as perhaps he finally has as well? At least such is to be hoped, that one can always learn from mistakes and losses.

With its promise of Spring;
It’s happened so quickly,
How can it be…?
Our candles are lighted,
Bayberry and evergreen
Whilst smoke of white sage

Greetings!
It is the final evening of November 2009 as I write this, and we are running full tilt into another holiday season. I am amazed that we are nearing the end of another year, and truly have to wonder just where all the time has gone! This busy season is rich in its own magic, full of family, friends, and good cheer amidst the craziness of Yule-tide shopping frenzies. Yet while I embrace this season, it also brings a time of quiet contemplation for me.

It is the waxing moon as I begin to write this, and another month has now come to its end. It’s hard to fathom how quickly time passes as it seems only yesterday that I was awaiting the heat of the summer season. Now there is a definite chill in the air, and the moon shines so clear and bright in the night sky that it takes my breath away. The month of August has come to its end, and though I will miss its warmth and humidity I find myself longing for the winds of change that September will surely bring. The mornings are cooler these days, and though temperatures still soar into the 80’s during the day the evenings bring a slight chill. The passage of time
One thing is for certain in this life we share.
You can’t keep time in a bottle.
It passes, as I skip through Spring,
hardly noticing all her gifts.
It passes, as my spirit soars through Summer,
like summer will never end.
It continues to pass, Even now,
now that Autumn, has embarked upon the shores of my life.
And, time is passing, even now,
in spite of the need to stop……to reflect on the year, which has passed so quickly.
Time passes, leaving traces of it’s passage.
Leaving old man winter beckoning at my door. What will I tell him when he comes? What stories will I have to keep him at bay? I can offer up all the excuses in the world, but, it matters not, in the end.
No matter what, just like old man winter,
Time, finds a way to creep up on us, and, then,slips right past us. Time will not be kept in a bottle.
