Greetings!
The month of August has come to its end, and though I will miss its warmth and humidity I find myself longing for the winds of change that September will surely bring. The mornings are cooler these days, and though temperatures still soar into the 80’s during the day the evenings bring a slight chill. The cicadas roar as the orange full moon rises over the trees…soon their leaves will be sporting beautiful colors of red and orange. Pumpkins rest in fields, ready for that certain someone to whisk them away to be decorated as Halloween jack-o-lanterns. Take a moment to breathe in the essence of autumn whenever you can, and embrace all the wonderful changes it may bring.
Celtic Myth and Moonlight is ready for autumn, bedecked in its hues of orange and red. Halloween prints are on the walls, hand painted glass ornaments sparkle in the sun’s light, and velvet shawls are ready to warm you on those chilly autumn nights. Soon a bevy of dragons will enter our shop, guarding over the new line of painted woodland fairies that glimmer with their own essence of autumn. Colorful garden bottles hang throughout the shop, their colors sparkle when a tea light is placed within. I look forward to this season of change and all the magic this time of year brings.

Tarot Readings by Waterfae will be offered in the shop on Wednesday, September 9th from 1 PM to 5 PM. Naomi’s readings are $10.00 each, with no appointment necessary at this time. Stop by to meet Naomi and see what your future might hold!
The Green Lane Irish/Scottish Festival is being held September 11th through 13th at Green Lane Park, Montgomery County . The festival features Irish dancers, bagpipers, sheep herding, music, vendors and even Gaelic football demonstrations. Barleyjuice and Raining Hearts are the featured musical guests for the Friday night concert. Admission is $1.00 per adult. The shop will remain open during the fest, but the shop will be closed on Monday, September 14th due to our needing to reset the shop. I am sorry for any inconvenience.
The Reading Pagans and Witches Group presents the “Celebrating Earth Spirituality Festival” on Saturday, September 12th. Held from 10 AM to 6 PM at Stoudtburg Village , Adamstown, the festival features a day of education, merriment and shopping. Donations are accepted, and non-perishable food items are being collected to help those in need. Visit their web site at www.readingpagansandwitches.com/CESFest.htm for further information.
Robert Moyer will be in the shop on Saturday, September 12th from noon through 4 PM offering his intuitive Tarot Readings . Bob’s readings are 30-minutes at a cost of $30.00 per session. Please contact the shop to book your appointment. Bob is also offering classes in Palmistry as well as a Rune Workshop at the Zenergy Center, behind Earth Rhythms. Please contact Amanda at 610-374-3730 to find out about the specific dates, times, and cost of the classes.
Orpheus, the Keys and the Roses Workshop will be held here in the shop on Tuesday, September 15th from 7-9 PM. A continuation of the Pentacle and the Rose seminars of last year, this new workshop features Panorpheus who will guide you through a mysterious journey inspired by the new Pentacle and the Rose books. The workshop examines the Pentacle and Rose symbol, and introduces you to different ways to use the Key Rose divination tool. The class is for those people who are new to the Pentacle and the Rose, and those who took last year’s class. There is a $5.00 charge for supplies. There will also be a book signing for the Pentacle and the Rose books. There are only a few openings left for this event, so please contact the shop to book your space.
On Saturday, September 19th, Vladimir Cucura will be in the shop offering healing Reiki Treatments. Scheduled from 11 AM to 4 PM, Vladimir offers 15-minute, 30-minute, and 60-minute sessions at a cost of $15.00, $30.00, and $60.00 respectively. Just call the shop to book your appointment, or stop by to meet and speak with Vladimir about the healing powers of Reiki.
Saturday, September 19th also brings the West Reading Fall Festival on the Avenue. Held from 12 PM through 9 PM, the festival features live music, beer garden, sales, pumpkin patch for the kids and hayrides. There will also be artists exhibiting their works. The Reading Witches Masked Ball is being held on Saturday, September 19th from 7 PM to midnight at the Meadowbrook Country Club, Rick Road , Reading . Hosted by the Silver Garden Coven, the ball features a buffet meal, cash bar, games, raffles, as well as an Autumn Equinox ceremony. The cost is $30.00 per person. Tickets are available through Celtic Myth and Moonlight payable by cash, check, or money order only. Please make checks/money orders payable to Matthew Thomas. This wonderful event features highland games, pipe bands, vendors, music, food, dancing, a fiddler competition and much more! Gaelic Storm, Albannach, Scythian, Glengarry Bhoys, Barleyjuice and Blackwater are only a few of their featured musical guests. Best of all, the event has free admission! Dorothy will be in the shop offering Tarot Readings in the afternoon, followed by a book signing and “meet and greet” from 6 PM to 7 PM. Dorothy will also be offering a workshop at 7 PM titled “Swifting of Energy”. Plagued by negative energy and tired of it invading your happy space? Discover the real difference between positive and negative energy and learn how to turn even the nastiest sort into something that not only works for you, but works in ways you hadn’t thought possible.
